Advanced Zabbix SNMP Monitoring

The goal of this course is to fully explain SNMP monitoring and provide practical knowledge of configuring SNMP monitoring with Zabbix. The course covers SNMP polling, configuring Zabbix for SNMP traps, and optimizing SNMP data collection for enterprise-level hardware by utilizing the SNMP bulk data collection features.

During the course, students will practice configuring SNMP monitoring for network devices from vendors such as Cisco, Mikrotik, HP, APC, and more.

Acquired skills and knowledge

• Configure data collection with SNMP v1, v2c and v3 in Zabbix
• Install MIB files on Zabbix servers and proxies to understand the collected metrics
• Automatically detect SNMP resources such as network interfaces, temperature sensors, processors and more
• Accelerate data collection with SNMP mass data collection
• Configure SNMP traps in Zabbix
• Use official Zabbix templates to monitor hardware from manufacturers like Cisco, HP, Mikrotik and more

Certificates

There is no exam after the course, but every attendee gets an official Zabbix certificate.
